Eric Worley
Over the years I had been writing songs that had never been released. Some were never finished and mostly ideas. I was diagnosed with a blood cancer Multiple Myeloma in 2012. It set me back in life and put most everything on hold. During this time is what I call the "Cancer Sessions" I thought I would work on and write some new tunes. These songs are about my life of growing up in a rural area of Southern Oregon and wanting out of there by using Rock N Roll to get me out of there. Later in life I realized that those were my best times of running around with girls, cars, friends, and Rock N Roll. I sang and played most of the instruments while either in a hospital room or at home recovering from weekly infusions. These tunes are raw and unfiltered. You are hearing my true emotion of wanting to get my tunes out of my head and into song form. Vocally I am all over the place but I want you to hear the true me. My struggle of every day is another day I am actually alive and able to perform and record the songs. Hospital rooms were a good way to cut vocals in between nurse visits. This was my coping mechanism and a "distraction" to everything related to cancer treatment. Nothing like wizzing around some guitar ideas too in front of the window away from my hospital bed.
Expected release: June 21, 2024
